A family tradition
It was in 1947 that Louis Prugent chose to turn his passion into a livelihood: working with wood. He established his cabinetmaking atelier in his native region, at the foot of the Hautes-Pyrénées. In this haven, framed by snow-capped peaks and conifer forests, respect for nature was evident from the very beginning.
Louis Prugent was determined to preserve this cultural legacy by passing his craft on to his son, Christian. Christian expanded the Prugent expertise by bringing together a wide range of trades, each essential to creating bespoke retail environments. Today, this commitment to excellence lives on in all our ateliers, across the globe.
In 2016, Prugent joined the DIAM group, world leader in Retail & merchandising solutions for luxury and beauty brands.

Transmission has always been at the heart of who we are, whether passed from father to son or from one atelier to another. “L’ATELIER DES SAVOIRS” by Prugent supports young craftsmen as they explore their vocation and refine their craft. Many of our talents are “Compagnons du Devoir”, who pass on their expertise to new generations, just as it was passed on to them.
These values go hand in hand with a deep-rooted culture of well-being. We are committed and pay close attention to working conditions in all our ateliers, both in France and abroad. Our sites are regularly audited by independent firms to meet the highest standards, promoting well-being and inclusivity at work.
